Since its release in December 2020, the exploration game Haven has been updated regularly to bring new content, like new costumes for these two pouring pouring, Yu and Kai. Today, they are directly evolving, with a new update to embody choosing a hetero or homosexual couple.
Hand in hand, shooting through the impressive landscapes of the source planet, Yu and Kai will stay Yu and Kai, but The Game Bakers makes a small fit. The Montpellierain studio announces the immediate exit of a new update allowing players to choose the kind of each of the characters, and therefore leaving everyone the freedom to control a couple hetero, gay or lesbian. The protagonists, Yu and Kai change his appearance but keep their names, and the dialogs adjust only according to their respective kinds without impact on the course of the story.
"_Haven talks about the freedom to love who we want. At the beginning of the game design, we created several couples, but the production constraints of our Inde team have made us focus on Yu and Kay only" explains Emeric Thoa, President and Creative Director of The Game Bakers in a note on the PlayStation Blog. Indeed, the Yu and Kai that we know were selected from eight very varied couples imagined by the teams. "After launch, we wanted to go back and work on this update. We hope many players will feel better represented in the game." This update for Haven is now available on all its supports.
