The German volleyballers have reached the EM the quarterfinals and thus stand for the fifth time in a row in the round of the best eight. The team of national coach Andrea Giani won the second round on Sunday in the Czech Ostrau against Bulgaria 3-1 (25:14, 18:25, 25:19, 25:22). Nearest opponent is now Italy, the quarterfinals will take place on Wednesday again in Ostrau. Germany then goes as an outsider in the duel with the six-time European champion, which in the second round of Latvia at the 3-0 no chance.
