Comicbook.com spoke with director Jeff Fowler about his series approach so far. Keeping it simple was essential, but now, the world is obviously prepared to diversify in some way.
For this first film, we were really just looking at the 1991 game and see where everything started and keep it simple, Fowler began. «It only tries to catch Sonic and Robotic and sets his rivalry because you do not... I mean, I love... there are many great characters in the Sonic universe, but the most important thing is simply configure Sonic and tell a bit of the story of Origin with him, and do it in a way that really makes everyone fall in love with him as a character and just support more. And then, if all that is worth good, then we can open it and bring some of these other characters that the fans know and love. And yes, I mean, nobody is more excited than me for having that opportunity.
