Do you feel excluded? Then try it out
Doom Eternal is easy to hit the most expected games of the year 2020. Unfortunately, there is no port on the horizon for us - and that's why we have to settle ourselves, which is already out there.
EGO shooter were not the most reliable games in the past, which could be played with touchscreen controls. However, this has gradually changed over time. Games like Call of Duty Mobile have proven that there are possibilities to get this to run.
Doom, however, is a very special kind of FPS, with lightning-fast action, plenty of gore and large, intelligently designed levels that applies to explore.
Those who are looking for similar experiences should not search for these next five games.
1 Jydge
Publisher: 10 tons available to: Switch Genre: Action, Sagittarius Learn more about Jydge
Jydge comes from the harsh world of Richter Dredd and is a top-down shooter that brings moments of silent tension with shocking outbreaks of extreme violence.
Similar to the Doom series, this also benefits from a KICKASS soundtrack and plenty of Gore. His weapons beat insanely and reduce enemies with a single pressure on the trigger on slimy guts.
The slightly reduced speed is perhaps not everyone's thing, most allest Doom fanatics, but they stay with them and they will find that they can rise as high as the classics.
2 Untiled
Publisher: Madfinger Games available on: iOS + Android Genre: 3D, Shooter Learn more about Unkilled
Unkilled is currently one of the better ego zombie shooter on the market. It basically has everything you really want from such a game: great weapons, explosive head shots and a lot of zombies that you can turn off.
Sure, they could argue that the former Dead Trigger series of his creator is too similar - and they would not be exactly wrong.
However, what is lacking in originality, he makes up with his solid controls, the widening of the contents and the mobile friendly mission structure.
It will appeal to those who play the Doom, turn off your brain and relax.
3 Dead Effect 2
Developer: Badfly Interactive Publisher: Badfly Interactive available to: iOS + Android Genre: Action, Sagittarius Learn more about Dead Effect 2
Dead Effect 2 is perhaps more Doom 3 as a Doom Eternal, but that's not the worst in the world. The slower pace and the narratious missions are likely to respond to still fans of the series, even though they need a high tolerance for doubtful writing to hold and finish.
If you leave the story aside for a second, the moment-to-moment action makes fun thanks to the power of the arsenal of the game and the varied selection of ranging and melee weapons. It also plays in space, what Doom probably brings something closer than some of these other picks.
4 Wolfenstein 3D Classic Platinum
Developer: ID Software available to: iOS Genre: Retro, Sagittarius Learn more about Wolfenstein 3D Classic Platinum
Whether you prefer Wolfenstein or Doom, I think most of us can at least agree that both series over the years were quite constant over the years, especially when you consider how long you are running.
The youngest Wolfenstein entries have reinvented the fun of the Nazis on the Nazis, although one would have to return to the classics, if you wanted a game that was soundly similar to Doom. And it just happens that Wolfenstein 3D is the Doom-like non-doom game for mobile phones.
The port job is not very amazing and the controller does not work as well as you hope, but he is still very well playable when mobile is your only game platform.
5 Doom Classic
Developer: ID Software Available to: iOS Genre: Retro, Sagittarius Learn more about Doom Classic
Yes, this could be a little scam, but it would be stupid of me to ignore the fact that you can now get solid ports from Doom 1 & 2 on mobile devices at a pretty reasonable price.
Both titles consider shockingly good in view of their age and provide rapid, inventive action that could only replicate and even push a few of today's games - namely Dusk and Amid Evil -.
The levels are generally a pleasure to explore, the weapons still have a blow and both are surprisingly well suited to be played on the way in short shocks.
If you have not tried Doom 1 or 2 yet, mobile versions are a very decent way of playing. Seriously, continue.
