In COD Warzone soon there is a new skin bundle called Oktoberfest. But that is used by the cliché and insults above all our Bavarian Meinmmo editor Jürgen Horn in his honor.
What is this bundle? Later in the Mid Season 5 of Warzone, a new skin bundle called Oktoberfest will come to the shop. The bundle has the topic of beer and contains the following items:
A leather pants skin for the operator Beck Each a weapon kin for the ots 9, the XM4 and the ballistic knife A finishing move A clock A beer mug trailer A Beer Calling Card And an emblem with beer mugs, the probably!
In addition, you will get special beer luminous pampermunition for the two weapons skins and there is even a mission pack for the Beck-skin, with which you can earn COD Points (the real money currency of COD). That sounds really ok, right?
Who gets up here? Jürgen Horn is not only shooter fan and editor at Meinmmo, he is also Bayer passionate. Therefore, he lacks no folk festival and has an impressive collection of beer mugs in the closet. Bavarian tradition is important to him and cultural generalization a gray. The tourists already rain him with their cheap costumes at the Munich Central Station. Besides, he constantly writes Of course , no matter how often you admonish him, just not to do that.
Oktoberfest bundle testifies to massive cultural ignorance
What bothers the bundle? So funny some elements of the bundle work, I have to shake his head on some details. That's going on with the skin for Operator Beck.
This is an East German Soldier of the National People's Army and later part of a special East German anti-terror troop, which was traveling during the Cold War in the 80s.
So the man should never have visited an Oktoberfest and also leather pants should have certainly not worn in the 80s in East Berlin.
But well, the man may dress up what he wants, I can still pass that. But that does not work, really not, are the weapons skins!
Well, the OTS has a skin called Heyweiz . That's not the typical Oktoberfest-Bräu, but at least Bavarian! The XM4 skin, however, is called Kölsch , bears the inscription Prost on the magazine and is decorated with leather pants ornaments.
Really now? Kölsch, Bavaria and the Oktoberfest at once? That simply does not work! I'm fine of the Wolpertinger by, Zefix!
Here, a joke in the design department probably thought Jo, we have October, there we can do beer skins and that gets the German operator and a few typical German beer names. Kölsch gabs at the Gamescom, right?
I honestly find that pretty ignorant to throw various completely incompatible German beer traditions into a bundle. This is mainly linked to clichés and cultural peculiarities for a bizarre stereotyp-Frankenstein.
Therefore, there is now an East German NVA soldier with leather pants over the battlefield and burners from a Bavarian decorated weapon called Kölsch. Well servus!
What is the bundle still cool? On the other hand, the Lederhosen-Skin has quite something and compared to Killer clowns and other witten figures from the skin shop, it is not that bad again. Also, I like the friend of the barley saw of the beer humps and the to-well-emblem. I would like to have that somehow in the game.
Therefore, maybe I'll buy it, if it is in the shop and I might have hurt it well. Only the grippy Kölsch-Skin can keep the developers! Besides, you can at least partially get the purchase price back through the CP missions.
When is the bundle and how much will cost? The release of the bundle is given by Activision to later in the MID Season . Since it is an Oktoberfest bundle, the 18th of September would be a probable date, since the Oktoberfest 2021 would be launched if it had not been canceled again because of Corona.
The price of the bundle is 2,400 cp, which corresponds approximately 24 euros.
Since I have finally liked the warzone now, Skin bundles per se are also interesting for me.
