As announced, the German record champion Bayern Munich has donated a million euros for people in North Rhine-Westphalia and Rhineland-Palatinate, which are threatened as a result of the flood catastrophe at the beginning of July in their existence.
President Herbert Hainer and board leader Oliver Kahn presented symbolic checks in the amount of 500,000 euros each on Tuesday. 100,000 euros, the club was already donated by FC Bayern Help E.V. to flood victims in Bavaria.
If such a great need arises, our society must stand up and afford help, said Hainer. The pictures (...) have all shocked us at FC Bayern. It was important to us to help the affected people quickly and unbureaucratically help, supplemented Kahn.
